CRICKET

While studying in class 12, I was learning cricket thats why I am very much interested about cricket but after that for studies I left learning cricket. But my interest for cricket still remained the same so I am writing about cricket and nowadays I have again started playing cricket.
Let us first know that when and where cricket began?
It began during the 17th century. In 1664, the Cavalier Parliament passed the Gaming Act 1664 which limited stakes to 100pounds. There was a newspaper report for 1st time in 1696.
In 18th century, the basic rules were implemented about bat and ball, the wicket, overs, hows out etc.But then some crisis happened for Napoleonic wars.
In 19th century, the first International cricket between USA and Canada was held in 1844. In 1877, an England touring team in Australia played 2 matches against full Australian 11's that are now regarded as the inaugural test matches.
In 20th century, limited overs were introduced in Cricket in 1960. The use of Third umpire to adjudicate runout appeals with television replays was introduced in the test series between South Africa and India in 1992.
In 21st century, the ICC Intercontinental Cup brought first-class cricket to 12 nations for the first time in 2004. Cricket's newest innovation, Twenty20 started from 2007. The inaugural ICC Twenty20 World Cup tournament was held in 2007 with a follow-up event in 2009. There was the formation of unofficial Indian Cricket League in 2007 and official Indian Premier League in 2008.
